In-Season Expectations

Practice:
  •  Unless the team is competing or traveling, practice will begin at 3:00 Monday-Friday.
    • Fall cross country (XC) will meet in the aerobics room and ends at 4:30.
    • Spring track and field meets in the back gym and ends around 4:45.
  • Saturday practices are held on weekends when we are not competing at invites. 
  • Athletes are required to attend all weekday practices.
  • Injured athletes should continue to attend practice. Coaches will assign productive cross-training and re-hab to minimize loss of fitness due to inactivity and reduce the risk of re-injury.

Meets:

  • Athletes are expected to remain for the duration of the meet to support their teammates. In some cases, this will mean hanging out for ours after your race concludes.
    • This is the same standard of sportsmanship expected in any other SC team--the starting players on other teams do not go home during the game/match after being substituted!
