Announcements and Training Plan for the week of 10/27

Announcements for the week of 10/27/2025:

  • Our end of season celebration is on Wednesday November 5th from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the Shorecrest Commons. We will be giving out our team awards and recognizing all athletes for their participation, so please join us in celebrating the athletes and their hard work this season! Also, please bring a dessert or drink to share with the team.
  • For JV athletes, practices from this point forward are optional. You are encouraged to continue coming to practice to run, but also it is ok if you cannot make it or want to take a well-earned break. Athletes who ran in the Varsity race at WESCO, should continue coming to practice to prepare for the districts and state meets.
  • Our practice on Wednesday October 29th will be at Shoreline Stadium. We will meet there at 2:20pm by the locker room building at the south side of the stadium.
  • If your season is over and you were unable to return your uniform on Monday, please do so ASAP.
  • For continuing to improve in running after the season, there are two things you should look out for:

  • We send out a winter conditioning plan to people to prepare for track season in the spring (and in general, to build on what fitness we have built during the XC season). Look out for that in your emails at the start of November (it is of course optional but highly recommended!).
  • Winter running club will begin Monday November 10th. These group running meetups are run by captains and are optional, but are a great way to continue running with your teammates/friends, and to improve a ton at running. They meet right after school by the gym, and are done usually much earlier than practice typically is (around 3:45 - 4:30pm, depending on how far you are running).
  • Remember: if you would like to help our team donate a basket(s) for the booster auction in the spring, please send a suggested donation of $10 via Venmo to @sarah-lorimor, bring to Delilah at practice, or bring to the end of season celebration.
