Announcements and Training Plan for the week of 9/29

Announcements for the week of 9/29/2025: Welcome to Week 6! This week, we have the John Payne/Hoka XC Invitational on Saturday 10/4. John Payne/Hoka XC Invitational Saturday 10/4 at Chambers Creek Park . Meet info on A-Net HERE . Meet at Shorecrest for the bus at 6:45am. The bus will be leaving SC at 7:00am. First race is at 9:00am. Our meet schedule will be: Open Race at 9:00am Boys JV Gold at 10:05am Girls JV Gold at 10:35am Girls Varsity Gold at 12:40pm Boys Varsity Gold at 1:10pm We will leave the meet at 1:45, and return to SC around 3:00pm. Announcements & Training Plan for the week of 9/15

Announcements for the week of 9/15/2025: Welcome to Week 4! This week, we have a league meet on Thu (9/18) hosted by Jackson. League meet Thursday 9/18 at Jackson High School . Meet info on A-Net HERE . We face  Jackson, Marysville-Getchell, and Sultan This is a one-way bus ! Athletes/parents must arrange transportation home. All athletes that can drive themselves to the meet will need to do so. Early Dismissal from school for the meet is 2:00pm. All runners who need to take the bus will meet at Shorecrest for the bus @ 2:10pm. Bus leaves at 2:15pm. All athletes should be at Jackson High School by 3:00pm. We will meet by the upper football/baseball field complex. We anticipate the meet ending at 5:30pm. Announcements for the week of 9/8/2025: Welcome to Week 3! This week, we have our first league meet on Wed (9/10) hosted by Archbishop Murphy. League meet Wednesday 9/10 at McCollum Park . Meet info on A-Net HERE . We face WESCO neighbors Mountlake Terrace, Monroe, and host team Archbishop Murphy  This is a one-way bus ! Athletes/parents must arrange transportation home. All eligible runners who need to take the bus will meet at Shorecrest for the bus @ 2:15pm. Bus leaves at 2:30pm. We anticipate the meet ending at 5:30pm. Air Qual. Monitoring & Tahoma Relay Teams (9/6/25)

As of Saturday morning   Air quality is significantly improved both   at home and in the Maple Valley Area .  We're going! Details below See you at SC at 7:00  As of Friday evening Obviously, air quality in Shoreline and N. Seattle is very poor. Although we anticipate that air quality in Maple Valley will be acceptable by tomorrow morning, here's a heads up of our air-quality plan in case things fail to improve: We will monitor air quality reports coming out from near the course in the early morning. Unfortunately, this is not the first year we've had to do this, so we already have an internal standard in place: If the AQIs near Lake Wilderness Park are above 100 PM2.5 , or if the AQI is near 100 PM2.5  and rising, we will  not  be attending .
